Built in the 80s, Strand Hotel is a 10-storey hospitality boutique along the prominent Bencoolen street. At the heart of the museum district once known as Kampong Bencoolen, the building stands back-to-back with the famed Rendezvous Hotel.

Last redesigned in 2000, it had been almost 2 decades since the hotel had a revamp. The areas that the client wanted to refurbish/update were the main entrance, front-of-house, restaurant, lift lobbies and guest rooms. The client's vision was to create a contemporary ambiance in the public areas in harmony with selected retained elements, which the team meticulously aligned within the allocated budget.

The rejuvenation of the Strand Hotel's aesthetics is anchored in its history and heritage ensuring its timeless relevance. This renaissance not only conserves the narrative of Bencoolen Street but also gazes towards a resolute and contemporary identity, interwoven across the entire hotel.
